Betsy Varis

Betsy Varis is an enthusiastic advocate for student-centered classrooms. She has more then 30 years of classroom teaching experience, which provides an experiential basis for the practical applications of the teaching instructional strategies and techniques which she demonstrates in her interactive presentations.

Betsy is currently a state coordinator, national instructor trainer, and presenter for Performance Learning Systems. Her teaching experience has included working with students and teachers from the pre-school through college levels. She has instructed thousands of teachers through graduate education courses and seminars while also being an elementary teacher.

Betsy’s BS degree is in Elementary Education and her Masters Degree is in Secondary Education with a focus on Curriculum and Instruction.

Her uncanny ability to motivate has been the prime force to guide both educators and students to higher levels of engaged learning from a broad spectrum of topics.

Betsy’s high energy, enthusiasm, and humor make her interactive presentations effective and memorable while demonstrating her passion for education and enhancing educators’ abilities to evoke change and growth within themselves and their students.
