About Chick Moorman
Chick Moorman is director of the Institute for Personal Power, a consulting firm dedicated to providing high-quality professional-development activities for educators and parents.
He is a former classroom teacher with over 30 years of experience in the field of education. Chick is a regular contributor to the Chicken Soup for the Soul books, having appeared in five of the Chicken Soup volumes. He writes a monthly column for six parenting magazines, including Families First, Metro Kids, Baton Rouge Parents Magazine, Parent Guide, Boston Parents Paper, and Positive Parenting.
Chick is the author of Our Classroom: We Can Learn Together, Teacher Talk: What It Really Means, Talk Sense to Yourself, and Where the Heart Is: Stories of Home and Family. His newest book, Parent Talk: Words That Empower, Words That Wound is spreading rapidly across the country, spurred by the best advertising available: word of mouth. His books are available in the PLS Bookstore.
In the past five years Chick has crisscrossed the country, conducting over 500 workshops and seminars. Whether addressing one or one thousand, his mission is to help people experience a greater sense of personal power in their lives, so they can in turn empower others.
