Generational Diversity
For the first time in history, four separate generations are learning and working side by side. Each has its own set of values, system of rewards, needs, and desires. This presentation provides a lively approach to discovering what makes each generation tick. You will learn not only how best to motivate students of another generation, but also to instill in your students the values and needs of the diverse generations in the workplace they will be entering.
Managing Time, Nurturing Self
We're all given 24 hours of time, but educators and administrators often feel they somehow get short-changed! How does one juggle the mandates of teaching, scheduling, and paperwork with the real need to take time for oneself? This provocative program goes beyond the basics of time management to reveal the culture and set of beliefs that internally direct the use of time. It delves into methods to effectively manage time for learning and for teaching while placing a higher priority on the most important aspect of time management: a nurtured and healthy individual.
The Culture of Change©
Change is the only constant in education, and it seems to be increasing daily. This program identifies the elements of change and how they can positively or negatively impact your school or organizations. The ultimate intent is to provide participants with insights into the causes of resistance to change; methods to alleviate its stressful impact, and the creation of an attitude that embraces change in ways that benefits students, teachers, administrators and parents individually and in concert with the school’s organizational culture.
Building Team, Achieving Alignment©
The benefits of team teaching are well documented. Anymore, schools require teams to work collaboratively and effectively to meet the growing needs and mandates of educating students. This interactive presentation focuses on techniques and behaviors that allow team members to appreciate and support each other’s individual strengths. Participants gain a direct experience of important issues of diversity to achieve alignment with fellow team members. Learn how to work as a team toward common goals without the baggage of individual preference, history, or bias.
Managing Meeting Purposefully, Effectively, and Efficiently©
More time is spent and usually wasted in meetings than anywhere else in an organization. This presentation outlines methods to define the type, purpose, roles, norms, and behaviors to effectively participate and chair a meeting.. It identifies pitfalls to productive meetings and how these can be overcome to achieve success with efficient and effective meeting management.
Knowing How You Learn and Work©
Educators are often well aware of different learning styles in students. But how about their own learning and working styles? How do they mesh with their teaching and interaction with students and colleagues? This dynamic presentation reveals individual learning and working styles and how they can use these strengths to maximize performance, build team, and improve communication in their personal and professional lives.
Ripples and Bubbles: The Techniques of Possibility Thinking©
Using the concept of implication, this workshop plays with the question, "What if?" It assists participants in predicting the future based on an anticipation of action taken as a result of an event or circumstance. An excellent tool for lesson planning, participants will not only see "out of the box," they'll realize there is no box other than the ones we create for ourselves. The result is an amazing increase in ability to create, innovate, and develop effective problem solving tools.
