What I love most about teaching:
I enjoy those "A-ha!" moments that my students get. When they struggle with a new concept and together we try to solve the problems they have and then "A-ha!" they’ve got it.

My favorite moment in teaching:
I had a student the second year I was at Harrison that was really struggling to stay in school. He and I developed a trusting relationship that has carried on into his adult life. When he was in high school he had to write a paper on someone that he admires and respects. He chose to write about me. His English teacher came to me and told me what a great job he did. He brought me a copy of his letter and I have it framed in my living room. He is now 23 years old and working as a youth pastor at a local church and he told me in July the reason he is a youth paster is because of me. He said he hopes to make a difference in someone’s life like I have in his.

When not teaching, I like to:
Spend time with my two children, work in construction and lift weights.
