Title One Reading Specialist, Mifflin County School District. Lewistown, PA. September 1978 to present. Have worked with grades K through 12.

Member, Reading Curriculum Revitalization Committee, the Early Childhood Action team and the District Wide Portfolio committee

Related experience, recognition, awards, etc.:

Established the first Wilkes University / Performance Learning Systems Cohort Group.

Researched and authored three courses for Intermediate Unit Course credit. Courses dealt with Parent - Teacher Conferences, First Day of School (for teacher preparation), and Time Management.

Named to Who's Who in American Education from 1988 to present. Named to Who's Who of American Women; Award for Outstanding Contributions to Reading Council Activities from the International Reading Association, 1992.

Member: Phi Delta Kappa (Wilkes Chapter), Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development, International Reading Association, Keystone State Reading Association, Association of Mifflin County Educators, Pennsylvania State Education Association, National Education Association.

Stone Arch Reading Council (Founding member and first President); Coordinator of Newspapers in Education with Mifflin County School District and THE SENTINEL.

Board Member of Mifflin County 2000; Chairman of Santa's Bookbag, a community project to provide books to needy children at Christmas in conjunction with the Salvation Army and Giving Trees; Past board member of Juniata - Mifflin Literacy Coalition, Mifflin County School District Substance and Alcohol Prevention Core Team. Past National Secretary of Wilkes University Alumni Association. Former Den Leader Cub Scout Pack 7, First United Methodist Church.

Personal information:

Married with 2 children. Hobbies are reading, gardening and piano.
