Why I love teaching PLS courses:

Teaching PLS courses allows me to see firsthand the energy and excitement that today’s teachers are bringing to the classroom.

Education:

  • BA Psychology Seton Hill College in Greensburg PA
  • M.ED in Special Education California University of PA

Teaching Experience:

  • Special Education- Middle School Learning Support 1 year
  • Special Education-Life Skills 3 years
  • Special Education- Early Intervention 15 years

What I love most about teaching:

This quote sums up my reason for being a teacher. “To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded. “

My favorite moment in teaching:

I always love that second weekend of a PLS class when my participants come back and say “I tried this and it really works!” That helps me to feel that I am not only helping my own students, but students in many other areas.

Personal information:

I am a new (adoptive) mother and an active volunteer for Habitat for Humanity.
