I love working with PLS because the courses are relevant, and the information that is given is helpful in everyday situations within our schools.

I have taught courses for Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania, East Stroudsburg University, and the University of Scranton. I have currently published two articles coming from within my dissertation.

What I love most about teaching:

I am always learning. I enjoy learning new methods and strategies from my teachers. I enjoy learning new forms of technology such as video-conferencing and the Promethean Board from my technology department. Learning is living to me. In the same regard, I enjoy teaching what I know to others who enjoy learning as much as I do. I believe that a person who loves to learn as much as I do, must also teach others who enjoy learning as well.

My favorite moment in teaching:

My students loved Literature Circles (as do I, of course). When it came time to switch jobs, one of my students wanted to continue in the position of illustrator. I informed this student that the main concept of the Literature Circle is to gain knowledge in each of the positions and not only in one. This student negotiated with the rest of their Circle to work as the illustrator as well as their new job for free. He told me that since his parents worked two jobs for practically nothing so he could also.

Personal information:

When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my fiancé Louis and my two Boxers, Tyson and Odie. I love to travel. This past summer we spent a week in Hawaii. Next Summer we are planning a trip to Europe.
